Completed in 2006, the Straits Mosque sits on reclaimed land just off the Melaka coastline, close enough to the water that at high tide the entire structure appears to float on the strait it's named after.

Non-Muslim visitors are welcome outside prayer times (robes are usually provided at the entrance). The waterfront setting makes it one of the best places in Melaka to watch the sun go down over the strait.
